Housing Options Triage & Support Officer (Grade 4)

Who You Are

We are looking for someone to be part of the council's homeless service, providing an efficient, high-quality advice and assessment service for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. This is an office-based role in Peggs Lane, Hertford. You should be a good communicator with strong customer service skills, and be curious, well-organised, and possess excellent administrative skills. Training will be provided.

What the Job Involves

• Function as a triage officer, providing housing advice and booking homeless appointments for Housing Options Officers.
• Offer housing advice and assistance to customers in line with current legislation and Council policy.
• Undertake additional duties, such as assisting clients with applications to the Housing Register, Rent Deposit Scheme, and other referrals.
• Support caseworkers in their day-to-day work with customers.
