Who You Are

As a dedicated member of the school cleaning team, you take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff. You are reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of following set cleaning protocols consistently to ensure all facilities within the school are kept to the highest hygienic standards.

What the job involves

Your role will involve cleaning assigned internal areas of the school each day; this may include toilets, corridors, staff rooms, classrooms, school halls, indoor sports areas, changing rooms, offices, and communal spaces. Specific cleaning duties could include sanitizing toilets and sinks, vacuuming or mopping floors, cleaning skirting boards, window sills, and hard furnishings like desks and shelves. In sports areas and changing rooms, duties extend to sanitizing shower areas. In the staff rooms, you'll be responsible for sanitizing sinks, work surfaces, and any hard furnishings. Wastebins throughout the buildings will also need to be emptied regularly. In some work areas, a scrubber dryer machine may be used to assist with cleaning.
