You possess expertise in the UK economic framework, and an understanding of investment evaluation tools and contract management. You have experience in leading performance management, conducting project appraisals, and liaising with government and stakeholders.
What the Job Involves
As the Interim Head of Assurance for the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, you will provide strategic leadership on assurance, risk, and compliance. You will develop and maintain an assurance framework, provide expert advice to senior leadership, and act as the Authority’s champion in government negotiations. You will oversee internal audits, ensure due diligence in programme appraisals, and deliver robust performance management frameworks. Your role includes strategic liaison with the government for the Gateway Review process, advising the Mayor and senior leadership on performance trends, and embedding assurance processes into major investments and transformation programmes.
