Your expertise in HR practices is complemented by up-to-date employment law knowledge and a strong ability to provide clear, balanced advice and guidance on complex HR issues. You have experience working collaboratively with senior managers and a proven track record of influencing and empowering them. You are committed to continuous professional development and thrive in a role where you can build strong, connected relationships to drive results that align with both local and corporate objectives.

What the job involves

As an Assistant HR Business Partner, you will provide essential HR support and guidance to the HR Operations team and Council managers. You will build effective relationships with stakeholders across directorates, including local trade union representatives, to resolve issues swiftly and positively. Key responsibilities include job evaluations, vacancy screenings, data management for monitoring purposes, and ensuring adherence to Council policies and employment legislation. You will empower managers to deal with people issues, contribute to policy development and HR projects, and participate in staff strategic appointments. Additionally, you will engage in continuous learning and actively contribute to the HR team's development.

Skills

  • CIPD qualification or is working towards it
  • Comprehensive casework management experience
