Who You Are

As a practitioner working at the Advanced Level of the BASW Professional Capabilities Framework, you are an experienced and qualified social worker. You are expected to uphold high professional standards through evidence-informed practices, quality assurance, and professional leadership. You are passionate about developing others, offering reflective practices, and contributing to strategic development within your organization. You are a dedicated advocate for social work best practices, capable of working independently with a smaller, complex caseload, allowing you to lead and supervise your team effectively. You are committed to safeguarding and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide the best outcomes for children, young people, and families.

What the Job Involves

The role involves independently managing and evaluating a multifunctional and complex caseload while providing leadership and supervision to peers. You will work directly with children, young people, and families, prioritizing their safety and applying various intervention strategies. The job includes conducting in-depth assessments, promoting safeguarding, and maintaining high-quality standards of social work. You will lead professional meetings, support qualified staff during significant procedures, and ensure all work adheres to established policies and regulations. Additionally, you are expected to manage team performance, offer developmental supervision, participate in strategic service improvement initiatives, and oversee budgetary considerations.
