Role

Who You Are

You are a passionate Social Worker with at least five years of post-qualifying experience. You possess a strong understanding of social work theories and models, which guide your ability to deliver innovative and ambitious interventions for improving outcomes for children, young people, and their families. Your commitment helps ensure children receive timely support, reducing the number of children entering local authority care.

What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker in the Family Help team at Central Bedfordshire Council, you will play an essential role in working with children and their families from assessment through to intervention. Your work will involve managing a varied caseload of children, building meaningful relationships with families, and creating lasting change. You will chair multi-agency meetings and liaise with other professionals to support vulnerable children, working towards our goal of achieving an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating for Children's Services. Additionally, you will need to attend CBC office locations as required, while also having the flexibility to work from home.
