- Understands relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and NHS Continuing Health Care.

What the Job Involves
The role includes:
- Providing a purchasing function within the Brokerage Team for externally sourced adult social care and health services.
- Liaising with social work teams and healthcare partners to identify individual care and support needs.
- Sourcing and negotiating prices within budget limits for services such as residential care, domiciliary care, and supported living.
- Maintaining electronic records of contacts and staying updated on service capacity and availability.
- Collaborating with professionals to finalize care plans and ensure necessary authorizations.
- Attending relevant meetings to evaluate and improve purchasing activities and explore value-for-money alternatives.
- Participating in local emergencies and incidents as required.
