Who You Are
You are a suitably qualified professional with a strong passion for working with vulnerable children and young people. You possess a Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Registered Management) and are registered with Social Care Wales. Your experience in Residential Child Care at a management level equips you with the skills to implement change and lead service development effectively. With a 'can do' attitude, you excel in communication, negotiation, and mediation.
What the Job Involves
In this temporary role as a Registered Manager within Cardiff Council Children's Services, you will oversee one of our Children's Homes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure these settings meet all regulatory standards, providing high-quality care to children and young people for up to 12 weeks. Your leadership will support multi-professional teams in adopting a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, aiming to navigate the complexities of each child's needs and secure appropriate placements. Some out-of-hours work and participating in an on-call rota will be required.
