Who You Are
We are looking for Social Workers who are:
- Passionate about safeguarding children and supporting families
- Skilled in assessment, planning, and delivering interventions
- Committed to working collaboratively, inclusively, and creatively
- Resilient, reflective, and confident in making difficult decisions
- Able to work effectively within a supportive team environment
- Registered with Social Work England and hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will work directly with children, young people, and their families to create meaningful, lasting change. You will build trusting relationships, offer early help and support, and when necessary, take decisive action to ensure children are safe and thriving. Our approach focuses on working collaboratively with families, empowering them to overcome challenges, while always keeping the child's voice at the centre of everything we do.
You will be part of our Safeguarding and Support teams, comprising Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, and Family Support Workers, across multiple locations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact on the local community and help improve and protect the lives of children and young people within Herefordshire.
