Who You Are
We are looking for a motivated and driven professional experienced in rehabilitating void properties within the social housing sector. You should be comfortable working with a team of surveyors and letting officers to assist in achieving corporate void turnaround times, and demonstrate accountability, collaboration, and customer-focused service delivery. A background in construction and responsive maintenance, along with a good understanding of construction drawings and specifications, is essential.
What the Job Involves
As a Voids Surveyor, your key responsibilities include:
- Conducting surveys and inspections of void properties
- Writing specifications using schedules of rates
- Ensuring empty homes are let to a high standard with minimal turnaround time
- Managing the works process for voids
- Monitoring contractor performance for quality and value for money
- Maintaining accurate reporting and data on performance management systems
- Collaborating with various stakeholders in internal and external organizations
