Who You Are

We are looking for a motivated and driven professional with experience in the rehabilitation of void properties within the Social Housing sector. You will collaborate with a team of surveyors and letting officers to assist in achieving corporate void turnaround times.

What the Job Involves

The Voids Surveyor ensures empty homes are let to a high standard within minimum turnaround time, providing a customer-focused service that meets agreed standards and targets. Key responsibilities include:

• Carry out void surveys
• Visit void properties for pre and post inspections
• Undertake specification write-ups using schedules of rates
• Manage the works process for voids, ensuring high-quality standards and pace of work
• Monitor contractor performance for quality and value for money
• Ensure accurate reporting and data management with relevant IT systems

Skills

• Understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Experience in responsive maintenance and voids
• Ability to manage work programmes effectively
• Knowledge of housing repairs legislation and Health and Safety
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Proficient in IT systems and data management
