Who You Are

The Neighbourhood Officer is a proactive and collaborative individual who works creatively to support Camden residents in securing safe and affordable housing. You are capable of building meaningful relationships, understanding residents’ needs, and encouraging self-sufficiency in resolving problems. With the ability to challenge processes constructively, you engage in continuous improvement, reflecting on your performance, and contributing to team learning. You balance reactive and proactive casework, adapting to changing priorities, and focus on building long-term, trust-based relationships.

What the Job Involves

As a Neighbourhood Officer, you provide a frontline, trusted service, assisting residents through changes in their housing situations and addressing community issues. Your role involves assessing residents' needs, identifying patterns in demand, collaborating with internal and external services, and influencing service changes. You work within neighbourhoods, fostering partnerships, promoting restorative practices, and leading in developing solutions for residents. You are expected to participate in meetings and events, sometimes outside regular working hours, to ensure effective service delivery.
