What the Job Involves
This position involves assisting the Depot Operations Manager with the delivery of frontline operational collection and street scene services. You will directly supervise operational teams, ensure high standards are met, handle public and external complaints, and liaise with various stakeholders. The role also includes managing resources, covering bank holiday rotations, and conducting investigations related to health and safety, fly-tipping, and prohibited waste. Additionally, you'll be responsible for staff appraisals, recruitment, and disciplinary procedures, assisting in the council's response to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
