We are seeking an experienced Placement / Brokerage Officer to join our Contracts & Procurement team based at Lynton House. You are someone with proven experience working in a similar capacity within a local authority or similar setting. Confidence and expertise in working with care providers, commissioning, finance, and social care teams are crucial.
What the job involves
This role focuses on arranging placements and care packages for adults within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. Responsibilities include managing residential and nursing placements, domiciliary care, supported living, daytime support, complex or specialist packages, and supporting hospital discharge placements. You will liaise with providers to source suitable placements, negotiate costs, utilize systems like Controcc and LAS for managing placements, and ensure quality and contractual requirements are met.
Skills
- Proven experience as Placement/Brokerage Officer in a local authority
- Strong knowledge of ContrOCC and LAS systems
- Experience in negotiating placement costs
- Ability to manage high-volume, time-critical placements
- Strong liaison and negotiation skills with care providers
