What the Job Involves

As a cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of various areas within a building. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing access to the building by being the key holder for opening and locking after your shift, if needed.
• Cleaning toilet areas by sanitising all surfaces, including toilets, sinks, hand dryers, pipes, cubicle walls, doors, and floors.
• Sanitising kitchen work surfaces, sinks, floors, and skirting boards.
• Performing general cleaning in offices, including hoovering or mopping floors and sanitising desks.
• Ensuring corridors are clean by hoovering or mopping floors, and cleaning skirting boards and window sills.
• Maintaining cleanliness in communal areas by cleaning all flooring, skirting boards, window sills, and hard furnishings.
• Utilising a scrubber dryer if provided in some buildings.
• Receiving all relevant training for the tasks required.
