Who You Are

You are an experienced social worker with a recognized Social Work qualification and active registration with Social Work England. Dedicated to improving customer outcomes in a person-centered way, you possess strong care management skills and a deep understanding of the Care Act 2014. As a tenacious, proactive, and approachable professional, you're adept at building connections with a range of partners and are committed to promoting people's outcomes and independence through an enabling and strengths-based approach.

What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker in the North Locality Older Person's Team, you will work in the areas of Mid Bedfordshire and Ivel Valley, forming part of the Community Assessment Service. Your role will involve assessing, reviewing, and support planning for individuals aged 65+. You will be responsible for delivering statutory duties within Adult Social Care, ensuring customers are at the center of their care. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will build strong relationships with community partners, contributing to compassionate, responsive, and high-quality care. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive, flexible team and develop professionally within Central Bedfordshire Council.
