What the Job Involves

  • Managing activities, resources, people, and information to exceed performance targets
  • Motivating and developing teams of Housing Officers as neighborhood champions
  • Encouraging staff to develop strategies for engaging residents and delivering their priorities
  • Managing budgets and resources in line with policies and regulations
  • Collaborating with other departments and partners for neighborhood and investment plans
  • Ensuring clear communication with staff, residents, and stakeholders
  • Embedding a culture of customer focus throughout the team
  • Overseeing housing management processes and staff training needs
  • Addressing anti-social behavior through strategic partnerships
  • Working with partners to address resident vulnerabilities and additional support needs
  • Engaging with a range of stakeholders, including tenants associations and public officials
  • Implementing and monitoring equality and diversity policies
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation and policies
  • Providing strategic change and supporting corporate aims of the council
