What the Job Involves
- Managing activities, resources, people, and information to exceed performance targets
- Motivating and developing teams of Housing Officers as neighborhood champions
- Encouraging staff to develop strategies for engaging residents and delivering their priorities
- Managing budgets and resources in line with policies and regulations
- Collaborating with other departments and partners for neighborhood and investment plans
- Ensuring clear communication with staff, residents, and stakeholders
- Embedding a culture of customer focus throughout the team
- Overseeing housing management processes and staff training needs
- Addressing anti-social behavior through strategic partnerships
- Working with partners to address resident vulnerabilities and additional support needs
- Engaging with a range of stakeholders, including tenants associations and public officials
- Implementing and monitoring equality and diversity policies
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation and policies
- Providing strategic change and supporting corporate aims of the council
