Who You Are
You are a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with an HCPC registration and a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy. You have experience working in an adult social work or adult health environment and are familiar with safeguarding policies and procedures. You have a comprehensive understanding of the Care Act 2014 and the national agenda for health and social care.
What the Job Involves
The role involves providing a range of Occupational Therapy interventions for adults and children, assessing their needs and arranging for equipment and adaptations to enhance their independence and safety. You will carry out risk assessments and develop management plans, ensure the involvement of service users in the development of support plans, and provide solutions like assistive technologies. Maintaining accurate records and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants is also part of your role, as is working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure seamless transitions for service users. Active participation in the development of Adult Social Care and your professional growth is expected.
