As an Outreach Family Support Worker, you are committed to providing high-quality, proactive support to children and families using a "whole family" approach. You are dedicated to improving outcomes for children aged 0-25*, focusing on those who need support to access Universal services and avoid the requirement for statutory interventions. You demonstrate a compassionate, solution-focused mindset, ideally suited for managing complex cases and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
What the Job Involves
This role involves taking responsibility for complex cases, completing early help assessments, and leading Team Around the Family meetings. You will offer intensive and targeted support to vulnerable children and families, using de-escalation techniques and supporting adolescents with emotional and mental health issues. You will engage in practical parenting strategies, keep detailed records, and ensure adherence to the Early Help Hub Practice Standards. Regular supervision, collaboration with other professionals, and participation in training and development opportunities are key components of your duties.
