You are an experienced Senior Business Support Officer with a background in Alternative Provision and Education. You possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage workloads independently. You have a comprehensive understanding of education and local authority procedures and are adept at maintaining meticulous financial and contractual records.
What the Job Involves
Your primary responsibilities will include arranging a diverse range of educational and social care placements for young people, supporting the financial and monitoring aspects of contracts, and assisting the Contract and Commissioning Managers. You will consult with finance, procurement, and various departmental colleagues to ensure compliance with procurement rules and standards. Your role will also involve monitoring and reporting placement and contract data, supporting quality assurance processes, and assisting with tender preparation.
Skills
- Understanding of Education and Local Authority processes
- Strong IT skills, including minute taking and report writing
- Extensive experience with Excel for data management
- Familiarity with SAP financial systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel qualification (advantageous)
