Basic IT skills and access to the internet are beneficial, but more essential is your enthusiasm to learn and your willingness to work flexibly within a community setting.
What the Job Involves
As a Community Researcher, you will play a vital role in shaping and conducting research that truly reflects the experiences of local communities. Your responsibilities will include engaging with community members to identify research priorities, sharing your own experiences, and helping to design and execute research projects such as surveys and interviews. You will also play an integral role in ensuring research is inclusive, supporting others in getting involved, and representing community views in discussions with researchers and decision-makers. Additionally, you will attend meetings and training sessions, contribute to community events, and assist in using community feedback effectively to inform local policies and practice.
