You are a qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate and an SRA number, experienced in commercial property matters, open spaces, community assets, and housing issues. You excel at offering advice, handling transactional work, and drafting reports. You have the capability to mentor and support junior team members and can manage a caseload independently or with minimal supervision.
What the Job Involves
This role involves providing legal advice, transactional work, and drafting for commercial property and housing matters. You will draft legal implications for Committee reports related to properties and engage with mentoring roles. The job is based in Addlestone with part-time flexibility, requiring in-office attendance ideally twice a week, including a monthly team meeting. You will carry out general responsibilities of a local government solicitor while managing relationships with external legal advisors and instructing Counsel as needed. Tasks will be assigned by the Interim Deputy Corporate Head of Law and Governance.
