You uphold the voice of children and families in child protection processes and have a deep understanding of statutory guidelines and local procedures.

What the Job Involves

The role of Lead Child Protection Practitioner involves leading and improving child protection practices across the county. You will chair effective conferences, lead multi-agency decision-making, and ensure transparency for families through independent oversight. Responsibilities include supporting social workers, collaborating with practice supervisors, developing CP plans, chairing various reviews, and contributing to quality assurance activities. You will work closely with localities and duty teams, promoting learning and ensuring compliance with best practices.
