Who You Are
We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join Cardiff Council Children’s Services as a temporary Registered Manager. You should be suitably qualified with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Registered Management) Wales & NI, and registered with Social Care Wales. Significant experience of working in a residential child care setting at a management level is essential, along with a ‘can do’ attitude and a positive outlook. Excellent communication skills, effective management techniques, and experience in service development are crucial.
What the Job Involves
This role involves overlooking one of our established Children’s Homes, working with vulnerable children and young people. You will demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, ensuring that regulatory standards are met to provide high-quality care for children and young people residing in the home for up to 12 weeks. Your aim will be to understand their needs completely and secure appropriate pathways or placements for them. The role requires adherence to The Regulated Services Regulations, and some out-of-hours working, including providing on-call cover outside of office hours.
