Who You Are
You are a dedicated and qualified Social Worker, holding professional accreditation such as CQSW, DipSW, CSS, or PQCCA, and have current registration with Social Work England. You have a strong understanding of child care practices, relevant legislation, and multi-disciplinary intervention techniques. With at least three years of post-qualification experience, you are committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker within the Children and Young People's Service, you will be responsible for managing a caseload, including Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. The role requires you to undertake assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate with multi-agency partners to ensure timely and positive outcomes for children. You will participate in court proceedings, maintain detailed case records, and work towards interagency collaboration for the well-being of children and families. Additionally, you will supervise Social Work students and contribute to the strategic planning and development of services.
