Who You Are
A dedicated and experienced social worker committed to supporting children, young people, and their families by adhering to the Health and Care Professions Council’s Code of Practice. You will work effectively within Children’s Social Care, utilizing your knowledge of current legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004. Confidence in spoken English is essential, as is the ability to professionally engage with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
What the Job Involves
As a social worker, you will manage a varied caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners to achieve timely, positive outcomes. The role requires strong liaison with colleagues and external agencies, active participation in supervision and strategic planning, and ensuring legal compliance and documentation standards are met. You may also supervise social work students, offering them guidance and evaluation.
