Who You Are

This position requires an experienced practitioner with a minimum of three years post-qualifying experience as a social worker. You are adept at managing a caseload of complex, high-need cases within a child protection context. You can take initiative in supporting children and families and offer guidance and mentorship to fellow team members. Preparedness for court-involved work is essential.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will build positive and respectful relationships with families to support children in need. Your efforts will focus on helping families safely raise their children within their support networks. When not possible, you will explore and implement alternative plans to ensure children's safety and happiness. Working in a supportive practice environment, you will apply your professional judgment and skills in line with the Signs of Safety practice model. Effective communication and coordination with the wider professional network are key aspects of this role.
