Who You Are

You are an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Business Support Officer with a strong background in SEND (Special Educational Needs). You excel in administration and have exceptional ICT skills, particularly in reporting. Confident in communication, you can build and maintain strong relationships with all providers while ensuring attention to detail in your work.

What the Job Involves

You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the SEND team to facilitate the smooth processing of EHCPs (Educational Health and Care Plans) for children and young people. This involves ensuring the efficient issuance of finalized SEND needs assessment plans and statutory assessment paperwork following annual reviews, adhering to statutory timelines. Your role includes timely monitoring and updating of action tracker sheets, managing inbox enquiries and tasks, and handling requests for ECH Needs Assessments. You will support the SEND Casework Officers and SEND Team Manager with all aspects of the SEN annual reviews process. This role is a hybrid working model, primarily remote, but requires presence at the main office at Cunard Building, L3 4AH when necessary.

Skills

  • Understanding of education and local authority processes, policies, and procedures
  • Strong IT skills, including minute taking and report writing
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel for data management and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively and use initiative in managing workloads
