Role

Who You Are

You are an experienced social worker specializing in mental health, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality services to adults with mental health needs. You are flexible and able to respond to the dynamic requirements of the team and the individuals you serve. You can travel independently across the Taf Ely area and are willing to be site-based predominantly, understanding the necessity of face-to-face interactions and assessments.

What the Job Involves

This role involves working as part of the Taf Ely Community Mental Health Team, focusing on individuals with mental health needs. You will collaborate with various professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and psychologists. Your responsibilities include safeguarding adult wellbeing, conducting mental capacity assessments, creating and implementing care and treatment plans, and maintaining accurate electronic records. You will serve as a care coordinator and will work in accordance with the Mental Health Measures Wales (2010) and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act (2014). This is a temporary position covering maternity for a period of nine months.
