Mailroom Courier Driver
Who You Are
- Have a full, endorsement-free driving licence
- Completed manual handling training
- Able to work independently without close supervision
- Understanding of Local Authority Policies & Procedures
- Knowledgeable in Health & Safety and Data Protection legislation
- Possess strong personal and general competencies
- Willing to learn new skills and engage in personal development
- At least 4 years of driving experience
- Experience in mail distribution environments
- Can work well to tight schedules
What the Job Involves
- Sort, deliver, and collect mailroom items across various countywide buildings daily
- Operate under own initiative and manage personal workload
- Lift and transport heavy items
- Complete courier service for both internal and external collections
- Operate and maintain vehicles per policies and procedures
- Wear provided protective clothing and PPE
- Clean and maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness
- Replenish stationery levels in County Hall and Trent Bridge House
- Work as part of a team and alert management of issues affecting service provision
- Participate in relevant training
