Who You Are
A qualified professional with an HND/HNC level in Building Construction and/or Surveying or equivalent. You possess the ability to utilize CAD drawing systems and can travel independently around the borough, preferably by car. You are proactive, capable of working under your own initiative with minimal supervision, and comfortable managing a substantial caseload.
What the Job Involves
You will support the Principal Housing Improvement Officer in the delivery of a comprehensive and efficient Home Improvement Service. Your responsibilities include assessing adaptation requirements, undertaking design work, and managing the delivery of works to a high standard. You will provide efficient client service, manage technical aspects of housing grants/loans, inspect properties for compliance, and liaise with occupational therapists and partners. You’ll oversee contractors, monitor progress, and resolve client issues while updating IT systems and assisting in developments and reviews of schedules and specifications.
