Who You Are
You are a fully qualified and accredited social work professional with a current registration with Social Work England. You demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality services for children, young people, and their families. You have the ability to communicate confidently in English and possess a strong understanding of the Children's Acts and related guidelines. If you are at Grade J, you have successfully completed your ASYE. If at Grade K, you have over two years of post-qualification experience, including expertise in handling complex cases.
What the Job Involves
As a Social Worker within the Children’s Social Care sector, you will be responsible for holding and managing a caseload involving Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. You will undertake assessments, create, monitor, and manage plans with multi-agency partners, and ensure positive outcomes for children. Responsibilities include safeguarding, liaising with professionals, maintaining accurate case records, and contributing to the strategic planning and development of service provisions. You may also supervise Social Work students and work on complex cases at Grade K level.
