Who You Are
As a committed and compassionate professional, you are a qualified social worker with accreditation from Social Work England. You have substantial experience, preferably with more than three years post-qualification, in social care settings. You possess a strong understanding of relevant legislation like the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and you are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Your ability to communicate confidently in English, both verbally and in writing, is vital to this role.
What the Job Involves
This role requires managing a diverse caseload that includes Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and engage with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes for children. You will maintain detailed records, court reports, and liaise with various agencies for effective case management. Your operational responsibilities include supporting families to make informed decisions and providing necessary interventions to reduce the need for accommodations. As a Grade K social worker, you will handle complex and high-risk cases capably and may supervise social work students.
