Who You Are
You are someone who has demonstrated experience in care and support environments, particularly with young persons aged 18 to 25 who have a learning disability or a mental health diagnosis. You may draw upon examples from paid or voluntary work or other life experiences to show why you would excel in this role. Familiarity with NCHA’s policies and procedures concerning Finance, Technology Services, Data Protection, Health & Safety, Equality and Diversity is essential.
What the Job Involves
This role involves supporting individuals to make choices and live as independently as possible, respecting their dignity and rights. Responsibilities include devising and implementing individual care and support plans, assuming responsibility for safeguarding adults and/or children, coordinating shift staff, and maintaining service user records. You will assist service users with daily living activities, promote good health and hygiene, and help them access educational or employment opportunities. The position requires working on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and Bank Holidays, and adhering to mandatory vaccination requirements.
