You are an experienced social worker with a minimum of five years post-qualifying experience, eager to make a meaningful impact on children and families. You possess a deep understanding of social work theories and models, and you are passionate about creating lasting change in children's lives through imaginative and ambitious interventions. You have a proven track record of managing diverse caseloads, chairing multi-agency meetings, and working effectively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills enable you to engage with children, parents, and agencies effectively.
What the Job Involves
As part of the Family Help team at Central Bedfordshire Council, you will support children from assessment onwards, enabling them to build meaningful relationships with their families and receive timely support. Your work will focus on reducing the number of children entering local authority care by delivering high-quality services and interventions. You'll perform direct work with children, manage a varied caseload, attend meetings, and liaise with other professionals to protect and empower vulnerable children. Court experience is essential as you present high-quality assessments and reports to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
