You are an experienced professional in Child Protection and Court Work with a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice. Your references are of high quality and meet DfE guidance standards. You possess a degree or higher qualification in Social Work, resulting in registration with the relevant professional regulatory body. Your knowledge extends to legislative frameworks for child and family social work and understanding child development.
What the job involves
This statutory role's primary purpose is to safeguard children and young people at risk of significant harm. It involves identifying risks, managing interventions, supporting alternative homes for children, and potentially engaging in Court work. Key activities include directing work with children and families, building effective relationships, managing risks and needs, and maintaining accurate case records. You will participate in supervision and practice development while sometimes working in challenging home environments.
