What the Job Involves
As the EDT Advanced Practitioner working as an office-based Coordinator, you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals and professionals outside of normal office hours. Your responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and planning case strategies to meet the emergency care needs of children and young people. You will handle the most complex cases, attend crisis situations if necessary, and determine appropriate actions, drawing on locality resources. Your aim is to provide a safe, practical outcome until regular daytime services are available.
This role requires shift work, including sleeper shifts, and working two out of four weekends. You will be expected to develop your expertise continually to maintain credibility and contribute to team development by sharing your specialized knowledge.
