What the Job Involves
As an Experienced Social Worker - Adults, you will work within an integrated team to assess, access, and implement social care services, providing guidance and support to adults and their carers. Your role involves co-ordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, participating in safeguarding processes, conducting best interest assessments, and undertaking complex needs-led assessments. You will supervise newly qualified social workers and care navigators, support the duty function within review teams, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Additionally, you will promote positive social work practices, addressing any stigma related to older age, disability, or mental health challenges.
Skills
- Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Experience with vulnerable adults with complex needs
- Knowledge of The Care Act 2014 and other relevant acts
- Ability to manage and prioritize fluctuating caseloads
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT skills
- Ability to travel and work from various locations
- Experience with safeguarding and inter-agency collaboration
- Flexible working approach and ability to work outside traditional hours
