You are a dynamic leader with a diploma in Social Work or an equivalent qualification, equipped with thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory regulations, and government guidance concerning children in need. You possess significant post-qualifying experience managing and supervising social services in children's care and are adept at fostering effective partnerships with other services and stakeholders to deliver coordinated, responsive services.
What the Job Involves
This role involves managing the daily operations of a children’s social care team, ensuring services are delivered in line with statutory frameworks and are of high quality and customer-focused. You will provide leadership in implementing policy changes and strategic direction, optimizing resources, and maintaining interactions with various council departments and external agencies. Additionally, you will be responsible for meeting performance targets, conducting supervision meetings, managing workloads, and promoting high standards of performance and practice within your team.
