We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Assessment Officer to join our Temporary Accommodation Income Team in Enfield. You will excel in delivering proactive, effective, and compassionate income management support to our residents. Your ability to build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and engage effectively with residents, including those who may be vulnerable or facing challenging circumstances, is essential.
What the Job Involves
As part of the rent collection service, you will play a key role in providing a professional, positive, and responsive service to all customers. You will work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team within the Temporary Accommodation Income service. Your responsibilities include contacting tenants in rent arrears, discussing their situations with empathy while ensuring income is maximized, and setting up sustainable payment arrangements. You will also proactively support customers by identifying financial support needs, including referrals for benefits, debt advice, or other assistance, and work across teams and with partner agencies to ensure joined-up support for residents. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records and ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and statutory requirements, while providing a customer-focused service at all times to promote positive outcomes and help residents sustain their accommodation.
