Senior Practitioner Social Worker Adult Social Care – Mental Health South Locality Social Care Team (Victoria) £36 per hour (Umbrella) The South Locality Social Care Team is a busy Adult Mental Health Social Care service based in Victoria. We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner Social Worker to provide leadership, professional oversight, and high-quality practice support within the team. This is a key role suited to a confident and experienced senior social worker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellent practice. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and professional guidance to social workers within the team Promote and embed high-quality social work practice Undertake the Duty Senior role as required Act as a Safeguarding Adults Manager Provide regular supervision and oversight of complex cases Manage risk and support complex decision-making in line with legislation Essential Requirements Qualified Social Worker: Currently registered with Social Work England (mandatory) Current enhanced DBS suitable for working with vulnerable adults Significant post-qualifying experience, ideally at Senior Practitioner level or equivalent Strong working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Court of Protection Proven experience managing safeguarding enquiries and complex cases Confidence in risk assessment and complex decision-making Working Arrangements This role requires office-based working to support the duty system and enable face-to-face support for staff, with a hybrid working arrangement available for focused work where appropriate.
