Who You Are
We are looking for a confident, independent, and effective Deputy Manager with proven experience at a senior level of working with young people within a residential childcare environment. You should hold a relevant qualification that meets the criteria for Social Care Wales registration, in addition to a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People). Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential.
What the job involves
As a Deputy Officer in Charge, you will play a vital role in leading, inspiring, and developing our Children's Home in Cardiff. You will assist in the management and administration of the home, ensuring it meets all regulatory standards and provides excellent care for children and young people, who may stay up to 12 weeks. Your responsibilities will include ensuring service sensitivity, empowering young people's voices, building positive relationships with families and the community, assisting in maintaining staff competence, overseeing delegated budgets, and coordinating meetings to promote inclusion and achievement of objectives.

- Knowledge of The Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016
- Knowledge of budget monitoring and management systems
