You are a dedicated and experienced locum social worker looking to join a supportive team within the Children Looked After Team in Yeovil, South Somerset. The role requires a professional with a strong understanding of social care practice and the ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and various stakeholders. Flexibility and a willingness to travel extensively are necessary, as children under your care might reside in different locations across the country.
What the Job Involves
As part of a team that has been rated ‘Good’ in an internal inspection, with several outstanding areas, you will be responsible for a varied caseload of children aged 0-18. Your role includes conducting high-quality assessments, developing care plans, and attending TAC and PEP meetings. You will complete comprehensive court and adoption tasks, prepare thorough documentation for decision-making forums, and contribute to quality assurance and service improvement. Engagement in team meetings, duty work, and continuous professional development is expected.
