Who You Are
You are a dedicated and skilled individual passionate about horticulture. You possess either an NVQ stage 1 in Horticulture or a minimum of two years’ proven practical experience in grounds maintenance. You must have a full UK driving license and a spraying certificate. You are knowledgeable about plant identification, health and safety regulations, and are willing to continue learning and improving your skills.
What the job involves
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of practical amenity horticulture to the highest standards as specified by the Grounds Maintenance Specification and Clients. Your duties will include grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, clearing leaves and litter, planting, shrub bed maintenance, application of chemicals, and landscaping work. You will maintain, set out, and mark sports facilities, ensure vehicles and machinery are in working order, and comply with health and safety regulations. You are expected to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, displaying flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude.
