What the Job Involves
This critical front-door role within the Bromley Adult Social Care Safeguarding Hub requires you to gather information on concerns, make timely and proportionate decisions, and take appropriate action to manage risks effectively. You will operate under the framework of the Care Act 2014, with a strong focus on Section 42 safeguarding enquiries. Your job will include applying the Making Safeguarding Personal principles, ensuring that the voice, wishes, and outcomes of residents are central to all decision-making. Maintaining clear and accurate records and applying professional judgment under pressure are essential aspects of this role.
Skills
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Experience in adult safeguarding under the Care Act 2014
- Expertise in Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
- Understanding of Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP) principles
- Experience in front-door/hub/MASH environments
- Ability to make risk decisions under pressure
- Strong analytical and assessment skills
- Effective multi-agency working experience
- Excellent recording and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced setting
- High levels of resilience and professional curiosity
