You are a qualified Registered Building Inspector with the ability to carry out restricted duties within your level of registration and competence. You possess a strong understanding of the Building Safety Act, Building Act, Building Regulations, and other related legislation, and are committed to ensuring public health and safety in the built environment. You have the ability to manage projects, assess technical standards, and lead enforcement actions in a professional capacity.

What the Job Involves

The job involves administering and enforcing building regulations to ensure construction standards are met within the Borough. This includes conducting technical assessments and making decisions to deliver the Building Control function. You will manage projects by reviewing building plans and conducting site inspections. Additionally, you will assess dangerous structures, initiate remedial work, and supervise building inspectors at a lower registration class where necessary.
