Role

Based in a locality hub, operationally lead locality targeted early help team to ensure improved outcomes for children, young people and families.  To have oversight of performance , ensuring excellent practice and ensuring accountability for high professional standards . Ensure the welfare and safety of children, young people and their families remain the priority. To support the management of the locality hub . Main Responsibilities  1. Manage and supervise a team of early help seniors and practitioners to deliver holistic assessment and support to families, children and young people , applying thresholds to ensure families are receiving the appropriate interventions based on need. 2. To ensure that case management processes are followed, including supervision and audit in line with agreed standards. Allocate cases within agreed timescales .  3. To support service managers in developing the family hub building and locality response as well as working closely with par tners particularly in health and schools. To be part of the locality management team .  4. To chair locality panels and attend multi agency panels on behalf of the service , representing the division as required . 5. To lead on early help in MASH, undertaking supervision of MASH early help workers and carrying out duties on a rota with other team managers, including threshold decision making. 6. Undertake regular audits to drive high quality interventions , to include both internal and HSCP routes ensuring service is inspection ready, data is recorded appropriately, and evidence of impact is used to inform future provision . 7. Organise complex information and produce comprehensive, analytic, high-quality reports that make cogent arguments based on the evidence. 8. Embed performance in the team, ensuring high performance in terms of meeting timescales and improving the quality of interventions , ensuring service is ready to provide performance data, analysis and demands as requested  9. Maintain own continuous professional development and that of the team through appropriate training, learning and research opportunities and in conjunction with the Service Manager .  10. To manage budgets and be accountable for processes and audit of spend, ensuring best value.  11. To manage a clear step up. step down process with social care, ensuring thresholds are met and that transfer protocols are followed appropriately . 12. Staff management including supervisions, appraisals, sickness , conduct management and staff recruitment . 13. To be familiar with and keep up to date with legislation, policy and best practice relating to early and family help and the wider social care reforms . 14. To support in the management of the hub, taking allocated responsibility for day to day operation and health and safety as requested, deputising for the locality manager . 15. To work flexibly, as includes some evening and weekend work.dd JD
