Please Key responsibilities include: Planning and coordination — arranging contact sessions, ensuring they align with the child’s plan, risk assessments, and any court‑directed requirements. Supervision of contact — observing interactions, offering guidance where appropriate, and intervening if safety concerns arise. Recording and reporting — producing clear, factual records of each session, capturing the quality of interactions, the child’s presentation, and any safeguarding issues. Supporting parents — modelling positive engagement, helping parents understand routines, boundaries, and the child’s needs. Supporting children — preparing children for contact, helping them regulate emotions, and ensuring their voice is reflected in planning. Safeguarding oversight — ensuring all sessions are conducted safely, following risk assessments, and escalating concerns promptly. Multi‑agency communication — liaising with social workers, carers, and other professionals to ensure contact arrangements remain appropriate and responsive to the child’s needs.
Overall, the role is central to maintaining safe family relationships, supporting reunification where appropriate, and ensuring that contact contributes positively to the child’s emotional wellbeing and long‑term outcomes
