What the Job Involves
As the Child Protection Conference Chair, you will provide independent chairing of child protection conferences and ensure quality assurance of fieldwork services. You will work closely with Service and Team Managers, conducting inspections, audits, and providing expert advice. Your responsibilities include making decisions on child protection plans, addressing quality issues in practice, promoting participation of children and families, and contributing to policy development. Your role also includes attending professional meetings, representing the Department, and supporting the Local Authority Designated Officer when needed.
