Role
To work across the council's supported hostel accommodation sites maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. To maintain a safe and clean internal and external environment as directed by the Hostels Supported Pathways Manager and Supported Pathway Team leader. Undertaking a programme of premises related tasks including general cleaning, deep cleaning, waste management, repairs, maintenance and fault reporting. Where necessary, assist the fast turnover of voids by clearing, cleaning and preparing void units for re-letting, including the preparation of beds and furniture, assist the Supported Pathways Officers to take an inventory, bag up belongings and move for storage in line with Southwark's procedures.
To assist in the maintenance of the COSHH regulation logbook and the safe storage and usage of all products, and an appliance register, carrying out an annual PAT testing of appliances, including where necessary appliances that belong to residents. To maintain store inventories and arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies, assisting with the receipt, distribution, collection and despatch of goods, and a register of tools and equipment kept clean, in good working order and ensure that equipment is properly serviced and stored, reporting any defect to the appropriate person.
